Our Approach

At the heart of Anna’s work is a trauma-informed, compassionate approach that recognizes how early experiences and relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. Anna creates a safe, supportive space where clients of all ages feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Together, we explore patterns that may no longer serve you, develop practical coping skills, and strengthen connections with yourself and those around you. As a licensed social worker, I also consider the broader systems, environments, and relationships that influence emotional well-being, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs.

Anna’s Therapeutic Style With Children and Adolescents:
Anna creates a safe, caring environment where children can feel understood, supported, and accepted just as they are. She knows that children often express their feelings through behavior, play, or body sensations rather than words, and she works gently to help them make sense of what they’re experiencing.

Anna uses a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach, meaning she considers a child’s relationships, early experiences, and current environment when supporting them. She looks at what may be happening at home, school, and in the child’s wider world to understand how stress, big emotions, or past experiences may be showing up in their behavior.

Through play-based interventions, EMDR when appropriate, somatic work (helping children understand how feelings show up in their bodies), and practical coping tools, Anna supports children in building emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. For attachment work, Anna offers sessions based on Theraplay® principles. She also partners closely with caregivers, offering guidance and support so families feel more connected and empowered at home.
